My Education

In order to solve problems associated with education, United Way of National Capital has started coming together with several charities and community partners. The motive is to ensure proper education to the suffering children in the region and provide them with necessary help and support during this development phase and therefore help them achieve success in their lives. Their slogan “Every Child can learn” is formulated well in design with the campaign. A few tools are also suggested by the campaigners to encourage them and help them prosper.

In the movie, ‘Waiting for SUPERMAN’, the same idea is suggested as it says that children are always willing to take in anything new always and will definitely succeed if the barriers are eliminated. They also believe that only donating money won’t work and it rather requires time of individuals towards learning the child’s mind and working towards child’s development.

Additionally to help one, there are education e-newsletters and other such online tools for ensuring resourceful investment of time & money. E-newsletters of DC Promise Neighbourhood can also be accessed by downloading a community conversation guide to register.

The organization also thinks that it needs to first assess the resources available to these kids and then go about implementing solutions provided by the advocates of the about different roles they could assume. Presently they are under planning as to how to resourcefully spend their times with children and therefore yield positive results besides the monetary assistance.

United Way is the organization in the National Capital Area that has a history of serving the district of Northern Virginia and Montgomery & Prince George’s Countries for more than 35 years now. The idea of the organization is to initiate among the masses, acts of caring, apart from giving hopes and enhancing lives of these children.
